Advanced Detection Technology

UV Fluorescence Detection

Reveal defects invisible to the human eye. Videtex configurable UV systems — 365 nm (FPI, Pseudomonas, moulds), 385 nm (AME food safety protocol), and 405 nm (porphyrin-rich bacteria) — detect cracks, biofilm contamination, and surface defects that standard optical borescopes cannot see. Units can be ordered with a single wavelength or with dual-wavelength LEDs (e.g. 365 nm + 405 nm) switchable in the field.

95% Better Detection

UV fluorescence reveals cracks and defects invisible to visual inspection alone

FAA & FDA Compliant

Meets aerospace NDT and food safety regulatory requirements

Configurable Wavelength

365 nm (blue/green: FPI, Pseudomonas, moulds), 385 nm (AME food safety), 405 nm (red/orange: porphyrin-rich bacteria) — single or dual-wavelength configurations available

Prevents Failures

Early crack detection prevents catastrophic engine failures costing $2M+

How UV Fluorescence Detection Works

UV light causes fluorescent penetrant dyes and biological contaminants to emit visible light, revealing defects invisible under normal illumination.

365nm UV-A

Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI)

  • Aerospace crack detection: Reveals surface-breaking cracks in turbine blades, engine components, and airframe structures
  • Weld inspection: Detects porosity, cracks, and incomplete fusion in critical welds
  • Casting quality control: Identifies surface defects in metal castings
405nm UV-V

Biofilm & Contamination Detection

  • Food safety: Detects biofilm buildup invisible to visual inspection in processing equipment
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing: Verifies sanitation in sterile environments
  • FDA compliance: Validates cleaning effectiveness for regulatory audits
